Nurse Ailish delved into the science for us and said:
“This one of my favourite products! The skin relies on anti-oxidants for protection against pollutants such as UV rays and environmental pollution such as exhaust fumes and cigarette smoke, all of which we are exposed to on a daily basis. The good news is that PCA C-Strength contains L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) which is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body and skin. This water-soluble vitamin stimulates collagen synthesis, provides sun protection and protects the skin by reducing free radicals that would otherwise destroy skin cells. Using this product daily helps improve skin texture and tone, brighten dull complexions reduce brown spots and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
As a water-soluble vitamin applying L-asorbic acid directly to the skin ensures a high concentration of this antioxidant directly to where it is needed increasing photo-protection, cell repair and rejuvenation.
